The first steps to getting your doctorate certified.

The doctoral degree is official and valid throughout Spain (and can be recognised in different countries), has full academic effects, and qualifies for teaching and research, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

You may apply for a doctoral degree under the following conditions:

1. You have defended your doctoral thesis.
2. The Defence Certificates have been received at the EsDule administrative unit, with a pass mark or higher.
3. You have registered on the TESEO platform.

You must apply using the appropriate Application Form and paying the corresponding fees (as these are public fees, they are subject to the applicable exemptions).

You have the option of requesting the remission of your degree, whether to the national territory, Europe or anywhere in the world. Find out how much this procedure costs.

Once the fees have been paid, we will issue you with a provisional Supplementary Certificate until the definitive certificate is issued.

When the final degree is available, the Degrees Unit of the University of León will contact you to collect it.
